What kind of computer processes Enigma 0.76b application workunit in 0.01 hours? That is 36 seconds. Current Server status page has that as minimum time. i7-7700k with hyperthreading takes over 8 minutes to process fastest 0.76b workunits with enigma-optima AVX2. Without hyperthreading that should about half. And i7-7700k is currently fastest single thread processor. Something is not right... |

I would say it's possible if you force to compute one task with multiple cores, but it's more likely to be an error |

Or it was one of the tasks run when they were testing the GPU version. I can see a fast GPU running a smaller task that quickly. |

Error or invalid apps run is my guess. Cuda app gives different results than Enigma 0.76, so it should not be used for same workunits or it kind of ruins results of project imo. |

Actually that's because there were old wrappers which did not report time correctly and some are still in use. Also, the app uses it's own checkpoints and if the task is stopped near completion and the wrapper does not save cpu time / runtime on exit, on resume it will finish the task quickly and the wrapper will report only the time needed to finish the task, not the real cpu time / runtime used. GPU app does not work with standard workunits. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |
