I have been trying to request WU's for the past 12 hours. It appears that the server is up and running and there are WU's available. However, I have not been able to get WU's "Message from server: No work sent" Any help is appreciated, thanks! |

It's a common problem here when there's a large number of high priority task to send; the feeder queue size is limited by server's shared memory segment size, when the number of high priority workunits is too high, the feeder queue is filled with priority tasks and the server is unable to send work to clients with average turnaround time higher than 3 days (high priority workunits are send only to clients with RAC 100+ and average turnaround below 3 days to make sure they'll be returned as quick as possible). Usually it's just a temporary problem, but sometimes it can last for few hours or even longer, if someone with fast host downloads thousands of results just to abort them when they're close to deadline. I've just added a separate field to the server status to show the number of high priority task in the queue. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |
