I don't see message board listed anywhere on there. So show where the message board fits into the diagram! |

Me too. I have been unable to receive my work after a similar message. There was obviously data with abnormal numerical memory. |

That diagram doesn't include project application component specific DB Admin could create new tables in the same DB to store that data, add new columns to existing table(s) (probably one which stores work units), or create another DB for it on the same DB server. Or do not use DB and store that data in files. I don't see message board listed anywhere on there. So show where the message board fits into the diagram! Forum is part of "Web Interfaces". |

Maybe he is on vacation. This is what Poland has at a national level: Well work is that way, this is just a project for the spare time. It normally doesnt need any attention at all. I have a project renning on a server too (download creation services) and it doesnt need my watch. It "should" run itselve no problem |

That diagram doesn't include project application component specific DB I asked for proof and you provide is a could be setup this way or that way. Got it, you don't know so quit acting like you do know. How about a "could" of my own. You could know what you're talking about, but you don't! |

Proof that the database for the WU's and the message boards are not the same server and thus the same database. http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=243#2034 Today morning the server went down unexpectedly most probably due to power failure. A bit later it was automatically restarted in disabled mode because at least one of the database tables needs to be repaired. So, TJM posted to the message board that the server went down, so if the same server was used, the message boards would not have been active on a server that was down. |

If you want 100% proof, you must ask TJM - admin of this project. I can only tell you about things which are in github repo and official docs, plus use my years of experience to guess missing details. However with open source projects you cannot be 100% sure how things are done because everyone can take the code and modify it to his or her needs. Quoted TJM's post does not say anything about using two DBs. It can be like you said; it can also be that admin can post even if site is disabled for regular users. He could do this as long as DB tables used by forum were not corrupted. I cannot give you more details about this, only TJM knows everything. If you are interested, ask him. |

How could he post to the message board that the server is down and that it will be up later if that server was required for the message board to work? Turn your computer off and then post to this forum using that computer while it is off and let us know how it works for you! Would you go to a doctor for a surgery that read what they had to do off of the Internet as well? |

2nd sentence quoted by you says: "A bit later it was automatically restarted in disabled mode". So physical server was powered on, only software entered disabled mode. |

Still not active now was it? You wanted to mention years of experience up. I contributed to SETI before BOINC even existed. I have contributed more to this project than you have! I'm number 5 on the kist, where are you? I have contributed more overall covering all projects than you have! No work has been on the project for weeks, look at your RAC and compare that to mine. Your posts are useless. Tell you what, why don't you let TJM tell us how it is setup as it is clear that you don't! Your "assistance" is not required! |

LOL! Please do not compare apples and pears, results would be useless. One can have tons of experience at crunching and still cannot write a single line of code. This is EOT from my side. |

I'm certainly curious what's going on, especially this close to the 'finish line' so to speak. Especially so, since until now it seemed certain that the tasks would end (potentially the project as well) by year's end. I did run across this thread from another project (which I'm still not sure what "GoofyxGrid" does exactly) regarding Enigma@home which is still unconfirmed rumor and speculation. But, since that's all we've got until something official.. http://goofyxgridathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=205&sort_style=&start=20 But to quote from above the relevant rumor/speculation from a user named krzyscp on 15 April: "About Enigma@Home - I know from his admin that he is make some serious cha7nges to daemons in project which is reason for this pause in work unit generation." The opinion is that poor to nonexistent communication is pretty normal from several projects out of Poland. Again, rumor and speculation abound, but that seems the order of the day. |

"About Enigma@Home - I know from his admin that he is make some serious cha7nges to daemons in project which is reason for this pause in work unit generation." His admin? TJM is the admin, the only admin. His hosting company cannot even get ahold of him (TJM) so even if he was making changes, you would think he would at least respond to them as all he had to do is respond to an email. If something has happened to him, we will find out in the next month or two or at the very latest October of this year. The domain is set to expire October 12th, 2017. Unless he pays for a year at a time to his hosting company, he is paying monthly. So if the lights get turned off on the site, we know something happened to him. Lastly, why make changes to the project at this stage? We were past the 50% mark of the last dictionary of the last message. If changes were going to be made, wouldn't it have made sense to do the following: Update Android support several years ago for Lollipop? Used the optimized applications for BOINC as default. That would have sped the process up, he just would have needed to make sure the correct optimized app was used for systems that could support it and the default for the others. Making serious changes at this point would be like a business that was going to close in a few months to do a full remodel. Unless there are other messages or he was going to add additional dictionaries in, I just don't see why big changes would be made. |

I see on the server status that there is work. However, every time I try to fetch work I get a "communication deferred" message and it waits 4 minutes. Then, the same happens again 4 minutes later. Any idea what might be going on? |
