I have figured out that Enigma in its entirety could take up to 20 million computing hours. So far, we have done just over 7000 of those, which means that we aren't getting very far very fast, so we need to advertise the project to get more people interested, and help crack our code. I have come up with various ways to get more people interested: 1. Post on Team Forum (If you have one) 2. Put it on your social media page/in your Skype status. 3. Offer more credits per WU. Thanks for reading, and please spread the word of Enigma! |

I have recruited several people, but I don't think you statistic of 7000 hours is correct. I have personally contributed over 120,000 hours (If you attach to WUProp@home it monitors your contributions to projects). |

I myself have 7,206.85 hours since 27 June 2013 (date I joined WUprop) at least a couple thousand more before that, so I will also have to echo skepticism at your statistics. What is your source? Although I haven't personally seen any problems with it, there seems to be an impression that this has become a "ghost project", one that continues to crunch but with little communication from the project administrator. This has been voiced on these forums as well as others, so I'm sure we have lost some people due to that. It is currently a low-priority project for me, I only have it crunching on a few devices (my G5 PowerMac and Android phone) because I think there are other projects that are more important right now. The main page http://www.enigmaathome.net is out-to-date. The last news are from 2013... So maybe the project seems not really supported anymore. |

I wouldn't count exclusively on the news page for any project, though we haven't heard from TJM on the forums since June. Click Here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats |

This project is happily crunching on. If you visit the first page regularly you will notice that best scores are updated. This could be the most pure project - no nonsense, just plain work with a simple and clear goal. A bit early, but here it comes: Happy New Year! |

I have figured out that Enigma in its entirety could take up to 20 million computing hours. Project total CPU time equivalent to: 7272 years, 266 days, 2 hours of Athlon 3500+ running stock app.and this number is growing, so it is updated too so ... we have done just over ((7272 * 365.25 + 266) * 24 + 2 = 63.752.738 of those (Athlon hours) ... which still somehow doesn't go together with your 20.000.000 somehow p.s.: And here it comes ... Happy New Year, prosit Neujahr, gott nytt år, hyvää uutta vuotta :-) |

Sorry for that - should be 20,000,000 years, and of those, 7 and a bit thousand... |

Just to clarify, I meant 20,000,000 (20 million) years - NOT 20,000,000 Hours, and so far we have done 8200 years, 291 days, 19 hours of that. This means that, to achieve Enigma@Home's current goals, there are currently (at least): 176,000,000,000 Hours; 7,300,000,000 Days; 19,991,799 Years Of computing! Let's get computing! :D |
