The first is not bad, are you using a 3D Rendering program? I know a little program some times ago to create this stuff in seconds...

Nope. Doing it all by hand through Paint Soup Pro.

And yes, I still like the first one the best. It says it all.

I'm using 290x126 pixels as it makes it a bit clearer. Eventually the size should be around 290x96 or less.

The original file I took the shape and letters from comes from somewhere on the internet. Cleaned it up and then meticulously copied parts over to a new layer. Resizing is the biggest trouble as the original is way bigger and sizing it down will make it more garbled.

Try it, I would say. If resizing it degrades it too much, complain at TJM that the logo is the thing people look at. ;-)

Bad cut from the logo font, you must change the color or the percent of transparency, perhaps multiply but the picture is also important ;)

As said, I whipped it up in 20 minutes. It was a quick&dirty copy&paste.
I'll work on it some more tonight, when listening to Pandora's Rockbox. She always brings out the best in me. :-)

Stupid thing about JPEGs that I just found out is that it doesn't save the layer information, so I'll change to GIF or PNG from here on in.

LOL, but I am not finished with it yet. Whatever you see that I did above (or below, depends on how you read threads), was just testing. I'm waiting for Simek to complete the background colour for the forums.

I think we'll hold a contest once we have all finished products in.
