According to this page, TJM's last post was 12 days ago: http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_user_posts.php?userid=1 Obviously, your expectations of this project, revealing "secret Nazi loot or secret Nazi communications with some demonic alien space faring beings" are outside the realm of reality. The solution is simple: If the project is not meeting your needs, go elsewhere. SETI is obviously more your speed. Click Here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats |

No, I don't think that's the solution, because the question is, is this site a going concern or not? And by the way I've been a contributor of SETI since 2004. |

Now we know the Erskine message has been broken, is there a way to use the correct key to optimise the cracking method? It seems a shame to sit around now the message has been broken when there has been so much effort over the years here at Enigma. We've had long outages before, I'm not going to let this one put me off. |

Dear friends, I the light of the ongoing team challenge don't we have the same issue with workunits available to compute at the moment?.. ;( Yours faithfully, biophage* |

According to the Server Status, there's work. It's just not coming through. Bummmer as I just switched my eco-Droids from Asteroids (50+ hrs for a WU now) to Engima. Well, maybe I'll just let it finish off the Asteroids and let it queue up some WUProp for now... |

Hi there... Recently I lost contact with this project when I am still running 3 others. Is there anyone managing Enigma project who could wake up and give us a status of everything ? I am on board from around 2010. Do we have to remain ready to restart or do we should better forget everything and everyone from this ? Sorry for my english I do my best as a french speaking person. Pleaseeeeeeee ! Help ! |

Hi Champignac, I think the project is CUDA only, although you can still attach using android you might only get work with a computer and CUDA graphics card. I might be wrong, but that's my experience. |

If you use ATI Cards you have to install an older Driver, not the latest! I'm using the 17.9.3 driverversion. Have a happy new year 2019! Bye Jens |

Having not 'worked' on the project for about 10 years, am I right in reading that the project only works with CUDA-driven software now and therefore running the BOINC-based project is pointless? |

No, it runs on OpenCL for ATI if you stay on driver 18.7.1 or earlier. The WU on ATI still shows up as CUDA in name, though. Also there is a CPU WU, Enigma AV; but it's not available atm. |

And the cuda and opencl work is distributed through the BOINC client. |

No contact from the single owner/staff of the project. Presumably he is ok as the site is up so the bills must be paid. Beyond that we can only guess what other projects or life have taken up his time. A few of the core group hang around to see what will happen, but I doubt any new people are staying. Fingers crossed for good luck for our host. |

From Merriam-Webster: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/enigma Definition of enigma Hmm, I wonder if any of this sums up the current status of the project and/or its admin.... I hope the admin is alive and well. |
