First of all, nice project you have here! :)
I noticed that during the afternoon, number of results ready to send drops to 0 due to high demand and there is no work available from project. It probably overloads the server so it cannot create enough WU's to satisfy clients need.

Currently, workunit generator is set to keep number of results ready between 4~5k. Why not, let's say set it to 15-20k or higher so it can stock up when demand is low so there will be more available job when demand increases.

Could it be that keeping high number of WU ready would be overkill due to insufficient server hardware or you just didn't expect so much people joining the project? :)

It's not set too low, just the server can't handle unlimited number of workunits.
