Guys, this may seem like a simplistic question:

What do we do with all the CPU power of Enigma@Home when the final message is cracked? Are there any further cryptos to solve?

There are still quite a few Enigma codes left to crack. Some of them probably won't be able to be decoded yet because of errors in the way they were written down during the war, etc. Hopefully as computers get better, It might be possible to run different spelling variations of these codes and see if it comes up with anything!

Well, I was just reading the thread here (http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=235) about cryptanalysis of these codes for the F.B.I., and I thought:

Why not apply the CPU power in an effort to crack the Zodiac's codes?

Or, thinking even bigger, why not apply it to unknown languages, such as Rongo-Rongo, or Linear A? I mean, the history of the decipherment of writing systems is fascinating, and even if it's used to take another look at a system that's already been deciphered (such as Mayan glyphs), that would do nothing but add to our corpus of knowledge, and would allow us greater introspection into the sophistication and nuance of these vanished cultures.

Or maybe we could crack the freaky stuff in the Voynich Manuscript.

That would take some pretty impressive coding, outside the scope of this project; here we are simply using a computer version of the Bombe enigma brute-force cracker that was developed back in the war, with a few modern tweaks. It won't work on anything but Enigma-encrypted messages.
