Thanks... Don't know why it happened. I shutdown and rebooted the computer and the project started processing work units again. I just wish I knew if it was somethink I did on my PC or someting in the project that caused the problem. I guess I will never know. By the way I have a few other BOINC projects running at the same time and they were not effected. |

I started getting work again on the 24th (CST.) No reboots or boinc restarts or anything like that on my end. |

Hi, I report the same problem. I am using MacOSX 10.6 in combination with BOINC Manager 6.10.58 and see the following text/problem: Enigma@home Fr 4 Feb 07:06:32 2011 Message from server: Enigma 0.67b _("is not available for") Mac OS 10.4 or later running on intel. I joined the project at the begin of december but this line appeared first time today. Is there information what to do? |

It happened to me once in the middle of January, was down with no work units (except the extra WU's I keep as a buffer) for a few days. It eventually fixed itself. I just didn't worry about it for a few days (well I actually forgot about it) and it just randomly started working again. |

As far as I know, the error goes away at the next scheduler request. So far I have no idea what's the cause of the problem. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

It doesn't go away when the scheduler requests again. Also resetting the project doesn't fix it either. This began for me right after the last time the server was saying unavailable on 2-3-2011. I've exited BOINC Manager a few times since this began and rebooted the PC a few times too. Those didn't seem to help either. However it doesn't seem to stop new workunits from loading or progressing. Also still seems to accept reporting of completed workunits. So since it doesn't actually seem to be doing any damage to the BOINC / Enigma progress, it's probably something in the coding that just isn't being told what (in my case) a Windows 64 bit OS is. Don't have a MAC so don't know much about that OS. I'll wait a while to see if it goes away on its own but the people who write the code should look into why this is happening. |

I've also been getting that error on all 3 hosts. Server & workstation now ok, but after several restarts & reboots, wife's machine still getting the error. |

Unfortunately the problem still exists and the cause is still unknown. From what I see it doesn't affect anything, it's just meaningless message. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

I assume that this is just a different manifestation of the same issue - no changes on the client side (linux32 with opt app): Tue 15 Feb 2011 08:21:44 GMT Enigma@Home Message from server: _("Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of") Enigma 0.76b. |

I just spent several days getting this for windows and linux (ia32 and x86_64) machines and just started finally receiving work again: "Enigma 0.76b _("is not available for") Linux running on an AMD x86_64 or Intel EM64T CPU." "From what I see it doesn't affect anything, it's just meaningless message." That isn't true at all. It prevents the client from getting a single WU for random periods of days or weeks. |

Well, I got the message myself a dozen of times and it didn't affect anything. However I suspect that lots of things can happen, because this bug is caused by invalid workunits with broken XML tags. I don't know yet if it's something on client side causing that, or a server side bug. For now I made a script which removes all broken WUs. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Linux, Windows, AMD or Intel. Not a lot left to exclude. My Linux machine is struggling to get work now. Windows machines seem ok. |

Do you have any work units yet to start? This happened on my 64bit linux computer, I couldn't get any work for about a day or so. It seemed to fix itself when I got down to the very last work unit. Apart from that, I don't know what to suggest. I'm also getting the message again now... |

Sill no reply from project admins about this issue... I just checked the server status and it appears there is NO WORK to be sent out at this time... will have to wait & see. |
