I've just upgraded the server software to 14200 to get rid of some forum bugs. Old bugs are gone but there is a new one, forum_edit.php is broken. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Server updated to [trac]changeset:14246[/trac] with some additions of [trac]changeset:14248[/trac] and various tweaks done by TJM. We're getting there. :-) Forums have emoticons added. They don't work when you add a code tag in the post. Emoticon options: :-) :-( ;-) :-O :-P %-) :-D |-) #-P :-> ;-) These will be added to the BBCode page in due time. There are still some bugs around and we're urging you all to go and find them. |

Actually, that's the other forums, the old external ones. They still exist at http://forum.enigmaathome.net/. But we're mainly using these now, as they are integrated into the BOINC web server software. Jord. BOINC FAQ Service. |

Well, this forum has a limited functionality and doesn't look very good (yet), but anyone with a project account can post here without registering again. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Well, this forum has a limited functionality and doesn't look very good (yet), but anyone with a project account can post here without registering again. Really? They look fine to me, and seem to be fully functional, just as functional as any other example of integrated BOINC forums I've seen. |

Then compare it to invision, ubb or SMF, you will find lots of features which BOINC forums doesn't have. Just a quick example: you can't subscribe to a (sub)forum to receive email notifications, you can't subscribe to RSS channels, admin panel is missing... M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

admin panel is missing... I think all BOINC-based forums based on newer versions of BOINC server software have buttons now instead of the old links. To tell you the truth, though, here at Enigma the buttons look kinda nice (the default buttons--I've seen them over at RALPH--they look kinda ugly, but not here). |

The forum uses default CSS (I think), Simek is working on a better looking style, but it's not yet ready - we had to fix a lot of forum/translation bugs first. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Since yesterday, the server sends the longest workunits only to the top 50% hosts, sorted by RAC. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

I did lots of http tweaks to reduce the number of download problems. 5.8.x clients '404 bug' when accessing scheduler is gone, all files from /download and /user_profile are cached at my reverse http proxy. For last 3 days number of download errors was at 0 and I hope it will stay that way. There is also a new app, 'enigma_m4_2', atm Windows only, which will be used to test new versions of the wrapper and workunits templates. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

The server does that automatically, take a look at the main page. New top results are posted there just after successful validation. If anyone want's to view the full list of results, I can upload it somewhere, it's quite large (last time I've checked it was ~20MBytes txt file). M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

13th Jul 2008 Server software upgraded to 15600. Some of the forums enhancements disappeared, this will be fixed soon. All daemons were upgraded and I decided to test them in 'production' environment. It's part of my plan to add support for multiple ciphertexts (atm M4 project has 3), currently the server supports only one 'wrapped' ciphertext, this is going to change soon. 16th Jul 2008 The server was down for more than 24 hours because PSU died. 19th Jul 2008 Lots of minor (and one major :D) bug fixes in the server code. One step closer to a stable project :D M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Old project url - enigma.no-ip.net:443/enigma/ doesn't work anymore. Apache's rewrite engine and http proxy runs faster with cleaner config file, so I removed old entries, old domain was almost unused anyway (less than 0.01% of all hits). The correct project-url is http://www.enigmaathome.net/ Exported stats are in http://www.enigmaathome.net/stats updated 4 times/day. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |
