The server is down since yesterday due to very bad weather conditions and local flood. Around 17:30 local time the water level was extremely high, no one ever has seen it higher or even close. As a result there are random and unexpected power outages, so I'll keep the server down for a while to prevent database damage. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Photo taken at my street, looks like a river, but it's just water coming down from higher parts of the town. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

wow! hope you are safe and there's no damage to your house! Agreed! Don't worry about the project for now - sort yourself out first. We'll wait... |

Poland looks very much like Northeast Ohio....I guess that's why some many eastern Europeans settled here. Make sure you don't drive through any road that's flooded, lots of people here in the USA don't pay attention to this and end up losing their lives over it...... Mike D |

Looks very familiar - those bipod utility poles, made from concrete. I spent a couple of weeks last summer in northern Poland - very beautiful place. Keep your feet dry! |

That's already a bit longer. Sometimes I completely run out of work ("no work sent"), and a few hours later I get my screen full with new work. |

About the project there's a link on the homepage: http://www.bytereef.org/m4_project.html About points: You'll have to complete tasks for the Enigma-project. After that you'll have to report them (this is done by the Boinc application). Then they get verified and you'll get credits for completing the task. Edit: Since I used my private email address to sign up, I won't send an email. |

Glad to see you have recovered from the flood. I was wondering where you are situated, I looked everywhere on your site and I cannot see any information. This seems to be another enigma for us to find out ! Can we rule out Bletchley Park ? |

The server location is very easy to find - check the whois data for enigmaathome.net and probably you'll find complete address and even my phone number. Fortunately there's no way the water could have done any permanent damage (well, at least not in my part of the town, as far as I know at least one family lost their house). Here we had only temporary problems - flooded ADSL lines and damaged power lines, some water in the basement - it was gone the next day. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

For the last 11 days the server was up all the time; scheduler doesn't work since the update but that's a separate problem. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Any idea when this "seperate problem" might be solved? When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! |

One of my Linux machines sends in the completed workunits but will not report even when the update button is clicked. Everything is ok at my end so it looks like this is related to the "separate problem". The work does not expire until the 2nd November so I am not overly concerned yet. Is anyone else having this problem ? Any enlightenment would be useful. Graeme. |
