I wrote a simple script to display the history of best know scores/settings for each workunit, it's updated in realtime when the results are validated. Most recent entries are at the top. Right now it shows the entire log, I'll add options to filter by ciphertext or show only best results tomorrow. I added timestamps today as they were not needed earlier, the entries are sorted by timestamp in descending order, so anything without timestamp is pretty much in random order right now. I think there is a possible workaround for this, I'll look into it. http://www.enigmaathome.net/top_results_history.php M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Maybe sticky this thread? I keep checking this page and do find it very interesting. Would be sad to see this info drown in the board. |

I got some high scores, w00t! I think the sticky would be a good idea too, so I know where to find them again. |

How about putting a user's highest score on their account page? I'd love to see how my fleet of ships are sailing... S. |

Why have there been no new high scores since June? |

Judging by the list, it seems that top results are only reported if the score is higher than the last high score. If this is the case, would it be possible for the solution to be hidden by a nonsense message with a higher score? |

Judging by the list, it seems that top results are only reported if the score is higher than the last high score. If this is the case, would it be possible for the solution to be hidden by a nonsense message with a higher score? Looking at the Server Log page (http://www.enigmaathome.net/forum_thread.php?id=348&sort=5), I noticed that there are candidate solutions with scores higher than the some of the high scores posted on the home page and in the Top results history page. It seems that the top three scores at any given time should be displayed on the home page. Is this intended, and if so why? [Edit] I also posted about this in the bug reports section of the forum since that seemed like a better place after I had already posted this. |

Right after reading this thread I checked and had a higher score than the top score.. Time to fix this I guess. |

Are you sure? Note that there are three types of tasks, and each type has a separate scoring. |

This is a well known text used as a test workunit to check basic functionality of a new app. Any workunit starting with m3_test, m4_test, g3_test or g4_test[1] most likely runs on a message for which settings are known already. It is the only way to check if the application can actually find the solution, which is very important because we could run broken app for years without knowing that something is wrong. As a side effect test runs that do not fail are used to gather statistical information. [1] the first character in WU name is always 'm' for batches of CPU workunits and 'g' for anything assigned to GPU. This is used internally by the server so it does know where to look for workunit description. The second character is enigma version, 4 for M4 and 3 currently used for M3 and Heer (which runs as M3 with settings limited to Heer compatible). M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |
