http://www.enigmaathome.net/cpu_os.php This is still a work-in-progress, inspired by distribited.net's table: http://stats.distributed.net/misc/platformlist.php?project_id=8&view=tco Quite bugged for now (for example, some CPU's - mostly these with low number of results returned - have their speed index way too high). There are some tables missing (CPU+OS, OS versions, I'll add them later) as well as CPUs (some are quite hard to identify). If you see a bug (other than CPU Index) or have a suggestion, please let me know. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

What? No Phenom 9950's? Kinda hard to believe, since I'm crunching with one....;-) I know some AMD are hard to ID (even with the same family and rev, some show AMD Phenom, others show unknown) Mike D |

I guess that yours either shows unknown or just the Family/Model/Stepping. I'm slowly adding unknown processors by hand, one by one, so perhaps it will show up later. EDIT: It's already there. Btw, these tables are updated in realtime, when the results are returned to the server, the CPU Speed** shown in the table is averaged workunit processing time, shown as relative to the reference machine*. I'm switching off the auto update until tomorrow morning, the script is not yet finished and I don't want to risk the data already gathered. * - the 'reference machine' for this 'benchmark' is Athlon Thunderbird clocked around 700MHz. There's also a bug affecting the MAC processors - the wrapper returns 0 seconds CPU time, so the CPU benchmark cannot be calculated (division by 0). M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

A question. How will the indices be affected {if at all} by hyper-threaded processors running two cores? "Verloren ist nur, wer sich selbst aufgibt." |

A question. How will the indices be affected {if at all} by hyper-threaded processors running two cores? Doesn't appear you can edit a post here. Just realised that I wrote "cores" when I meant "threads". |

It shows performance from a point of view of a single threaded application. EDIT: Due to a bug in the calculations I had to reset benchmark score for all processors. Right now the benchmarks are much more accurate. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |

Quite funny to see FreeBSD on the list, the project doesn't support this platform directly. I got the freebsd app from Lars, but I had some weird problems adding the platform on the server. I guess that someone compiled his own app+wrapper and ran them as anonymous platform. The same host came with an unique processor - VIA Samuel. I'm trying to figure out why it's not shown on the list. M4 Project homepage M4 Project wiki |
