Lot's of GPU power out there can't be utilized because this is still an issue after how long and many people wanted action of any kind from project admins.

Why is this a project issue if the driver changed/removed what is needed. Other projects are in the same boat.

Yes, to a point. But other Projects at least have Admins that are available to come in and at least respond and work on a solution...it's their job after all. This is ridiculous in how long it's been going on and most likely an easy fix to implement for them. That's if they even know about it since it seems like they are not even active on their own forums.

Don't make excuses for there lack of concern for the volunteers (that's us) who are here to help them on their project. Even PM's go unanswered/ignored.

I will make 'excuses' because for some project admins this isn't a job with pay. The 'fix' has thoroughly been explain above with which drivers work and which do not.

I fully understand their job. And they should understand our job of helping them fulfill their project needs.

That is not a fix FFS. Any new-ish card will not work with older drivers on Windows. Both on AMD and Nvidia. Radeon VII, 1660ti, etc.

We should not have to chose to run old out of date drivers because of this instead of newer more stable and productive drivers, especially those who play games as well on their systems.

And please don't bother replying anymore as you are not helping the cause of trying to get this acknowledge and properly fixed.

This is pretty crazy for an issue raised nearly 8 months ago to not only go unfixed, but to also not be acknowledged.

That's BS. No, devs need to learn how to evolve their project with these changes. Both AMD and Nvidia drivers after a certain version don't work. Other projects do it, this one is just lazy or incompetent or something. Not even active here, that should tell you something.

Do you know which nvidia driver doesn't work?

I think the gpu app wasn't developed by the owner of this project.
Since the apps are open source everybody could fix it.

Since i don't have an amd gpu i can't test it.

But you are right the admin could be more active :)
