Hi, It's been a while since I crunched Enigma as I have been using a laptop for the last few years but I have now built a Ryzen 1800x/GTX STRIX 1060 PC and wanting to start crunching again. So I have downloaded the project and started but noticed that there was no GPU app, even though I have ticked Use NVIDIA GPU in the preferences. So I read the forums and see there is a GPU version on Github but I have no idea on how to use it. Do I just put the enigma-cuda.exe into C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.enigmaathome.net? or do I need to create an app_info or app_config file. Any help would be great. Also, what is the current encrypted message the project are working on at the moment |

Hi, A lot of things could be the reason: BOINC should (and will) download the app automatically from the server, you donĀ“t need to install the software. Allow "test applications" in your enigma@home settings. If you gain tasks and get errors try updating your driver. For me (TITAN X in my tower) it helped to delete my gaming driver and installed the newest CUDA driver, which works. Somehow on my notebook it works fine, even with outdated drivers. :D |
