The message means exactly what it says it does: BOINC is waiting for enough memory to be cleared to be able to run the application in.

When you check your general preferences, you can specify how much memory BOINC uses when the computer is in use and when it is idle. I think the default options are 50% for when in use and 90% when idle.

Change those options, whichever you use and update BOINC. Or if you're using the Advanced Preferences menu, change it there, as an update on the project website will be overridden by these preferences.

On my system with 1GB of memory I use:
75% when in use, 100% when idle. (Not that the machine is ever idle, but hey. ;) )

I haven't seen it happen with 5.10.27 ... yet. Perhaps it was something weird between 5.10.26 and my computer.
